Williston Commercial Property Receives No Bids At Tax Deed Sale

The commercial property in Williston, most recently known as the Regional General Hospital, did not receive a bid at today’s tax deed sale. This outcome does not change the status of the property or indicate a final result. The tax certificate associated with the property is held by a private company, not the City or County.
When a property does not receive a bid, state law outlines a structured process for determining next steps. Those next steps will now be evaluated by the certificate holder in accordance with Florida law. Options may include pursuing a future tax deed sale or other legally permitted actions that could ultimately return the property to productive use.
The Clerk’s Office conducted the auction as required but does not own, market, or control the property and does not determine redevelopment or sale terms.
Updates will be shared as appropriate if and when future action is taken. We appreciate the community’s continued interest and patience as the process moves forward.
