Jury phone scams have seen a resurgence in recent months. The most recent scam is someone impersonating court officials and calling members of the public to notify them of missed jury service. The caller has been requesting payment for a fine due to the missed service. If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be a court official or from the Levy County Clerk of Court’s office, DO NOT give them your social security number, credit card number, or other personal information. Our office will not call you requesting such information for payment due to missed jury service. Do not fall prey to this phone scam and please make your friends, family and neighbors aware in case they get the same type of phone call.
